The pandemic has had a profound effect on local shopping, now shopping behaviors have changed utterly. The goal of this project is to conduct market research on the post-pandemic tendency of small businesses to buy locally, the demographics of local buyers, and the barriers small businesses are facing when it comes to buying locally. We would like students to focus on: Providing suggestions on the strategic positioning of our services in order to facilitate local shopping for small businesses. Selecting the best research methodologies for gaining insights about project goals.
Business Development
The Primary goal is to develop a roadmap to sustainably grow the business. To leverage expertise, & use technology to integrate the varying issues that this demographic faces. Reduce the complexity to allow for accessibility. The primary focus for the student will be: Strategy - Develop an implementation plan for entering a new market with a virtual tool to help families; develop a go-to-market strategy; identify new funding and grant opportunities, write proposals. Operations - Recommend process improvements or redesign processes; develop improvements to simplify and find solutions for families; introduce quality assurance into our internal processes. Marketing - Complete a full customer, competitor, market, and environmental analysis; complete a marketing strategy review; design a new marketing strategy; Sales - Design a new/improved prospecting process for our sales team; design a new/improved pricing or service structure. Talent - Develop a diversity and inclusion strategy.
Fundraising/Sponsorship Campaign for SME or Not-for-Profit Organization
The main goal of this project is: to help a small business or not-for-profit organization, to get donations or sponsorships . This project involves several stages (weekly) for the interns: - Researching potential donors and sponsors - Developing a fundraising strategy - Creating a budget for the project - Developing marketing materials to promote the campaign - Developing a system to track donations and sponsorships - Developing material to thank donors and sponsors

This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with our target market, products and services. We're seeking a skilled individual to optimize 50 digital product listings on TeachersPayTeachers for Ontario Kindergarten Teachers.
