Fourth-year nursing students at the University of British Columbia's Okanagan campus are available to be your virtual interns, in a project- or virtual service-based experience. Students will engage in a project or service of your choosing over the internship period, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students are available for a minimum of 72 practice hours from May 11 to July 28, 2020. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, student placements will only occur virtually. This course is an opportunity for students to explore interprofessional practice and nursing leadership. Through practice, participants will develop competencies in the areas of leadership, influencing and managing change, in the context of emerging Canadian and global health issues and trends. This may occur in settings or organizations that do not have health/health care as their primary mandate.
