Uplift Learning Inc. offers online courses for coaches, educators, health, wellness and mental health professionals. Our mission is to increase compassion for mental health by teaching professionals about trauma informed practice. We’re excited to work with students who can help us not only brainstorm, but also execute a strategy to:

• Become the trusted source for training about building resiliency through Trauma-Informed Practice

Uplift Learning Inc. is looking for team(s) or individual(s) to integrate graphic design, social media marketing, journalism, public relations, advertising, and other communicative roles to help our organization meet its goals to impact a 1,000,000 to create a trauma informed society. This individual/team is/are adept at researching, has a positive can do attitude, and is self directed while enjoying working in a small team.

Following a strength-based approach, primary projects can include:

• Developing a PR Campaign for our new course Building Resilience Through Trauma Informed Practice
• Exploring direct marketing and Internet, as well as other media and communication vehicles.
• Understanding and highlighting global communications considerations and issues.
• Recommending changes to advertising and PR materials for improved the consistency across your organization’s existing marketing campaign.
• Develop a marketing campaign for a new product or service.
• Develop a social media or new media campaign to complement existing marketing communications.

We need students who want to focus their skills on the following areas:

• Visual communication (e.g. graphic design, web content creation, magazines, photography, etc.)
• Mass media (e.g. television, radio, film, video, magazines, and newspapers)
• Business and professional written communication (e.g. public relations, technical writing, report and proposal writing, advertising copy, etc.)
• Interpersonal communication (e.g. counseling, leadership opportunities, coaching, cross-cultural experiences)
• Public address (e.g. speaking)
• This list is not exhaustive. We will be asking many varied tasks and are open to suggestions for projects from the students based on their observations.

There is a weekly team meeting and co-working sessions as needed. You will have incredible mentorship opportunities with the founder, Ernestina Malheiro, in the areas of instructional design and multimedia design.
