LevelUP: Video Editing (1/3)
** Only available for students that are a part of the LevelUP program. As a part of our brand awareness initiative, we’re looking for a student to provide assistance in the execution of our multimedia editorial calendar. This is the 1st phase called "catch-up". Along with performing video edits, you'll be going through our past video edits/archives to determine what's missing and creating a filming schedule to get the team back on track. The target start date for this phase is the beginning of July (8 weeks x 10 hours). In completing this project, we’re looking for one student that's creative, has existing knowledge of video editing (or can learn extremely quickly using self-directed methods), and has great attention to detail.

** Only available for students that are a part of the LevelUP program. As a part of our brand awareness initiative, we’re looking for a student to provide assistance in the execution of our multimedia editorial calendar. This is the 2nd phase focused on implementing the video edits & filming schedule from the 1st phase . The target start date for this phase is the beginning of September (8 weeks x 10 hours). Preference will be given to a student coming from phase 1 who has the capacity to complete both this phase and the 3rd phase. In completing this project, we’re looking for one student that's creative, has existing knowledge of video editing (or can learn extremely quickly using self-directed methods), and has great attention to detail.

As a part of our brand awareness initiative, we’re looking for a student to provide assistance in the execution of our multimedia editorial calendar. This is the 3rd phase focused on implementing the video edits (as per the editing schedule + deliverable from the 1st phase and the 2nd phase ). The target start date for this phase is the end of October (8 weeks x 10 hours). Preference will be given to a student coming from the previous phases. In completing this project, we’re looking for one student that's creative, has existing knowledge of video editing (or can learn extremely quickly using self-directed methods), and has great attention to detail.
Prenatal Class Creation
Main goal: Develop an on-line prenatal education course for the Black community. This project includes: Orientation with the organization’s brand, culture, assets and communication style Assessing existing on-line training platforms and recommending the best platform for this course. Gathering relevant course design and content information. Assisting in designing the course material Assisting in developing first iteration of course (minimum viable product) Students are expected to: Write the text based content for 3 modules Research chosen topics Edit the content for 3 additional modules
Digital Content about Small Towns of Canada 1000towns.ca
Number of individual students required: 15 students, any Province or Territory, Canada 1000 Towns of Canada 1000towns.ca is a digital platform connecting small town communities and travellers. We launched about 200 unique pages of Top Places to Visit in the Town. We would like students to participate in creating content about small Canadian towns that are aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. You can check existing pages on 1000towns.ca/explorer to clarify the format. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: Choose 10 small towns in any province/territory Write a short description of each attraction 'Communicate with local communities for feedback After approval of the 1000 Towns of Canada team, the final content will be published as unique town pages on 1000towns.ca. LevelUp: Graphic Design
To increase our brand awareness and to ensure we're meeting our corporate identity guidelines, we're looking to work with a student with a great understanding of graphic design. To complete this project, we’re looking for a creative student who can work with different types of design across different projects.
Small Towns of Canada - Phase 2 | Digital Content for 1000towns.ca
Number of individual students required: 25 students, any Province or Territory, Canada 1000 Towns of Canada 1000towns.ca is a digital platform connecting travellers and small town communities. In Phase 2, we want students to create content about the next groups of small Canadian towns. It will be focused mostly on Quebec, Saskatchewan, northern Ontario and the Atlantic provinces. With students' help, we launched more than 260 town pages on 1000towns.ca. To clarify the format, you can check existing pages (blue leaves on the map). To complete the project, we expect the student(s) will: Choose ten small towns Write a short description of each attraction (8-12 attractions for each town) 'Communicate with local communities for feedback After approval of the 1000 Towns of Canada team, the final content will be published as unique town pages on 1000towns.ca with the student's name as a creator. Content Creation
The main goal of this project is to help support with the content creation for Real Adulting 101. This may look like supporting with the development of a course (needs to have specific training in that course topic), or with the development of our Student Life 101 or our Guided Cohorts Development.
Youth Opportunities Database
Cayop is determined to connect youth to latest opportunities (non-formal education or employment). This includes internships, hackathons, student competitions, funding for youth initiatives, and conferences/forums. The main goal of this project is to create a database of youth opportunities, in particular opportunities in the area of student competitions, student hackathons, youth conferences/forum, youth council. Cayop already has a large database with opportunities. However, interns will work to refine the list, and build a larger database of opportunities. Training and continuous guidance will be provided.

Fundraising Merchandise Design 2023
Ancestral Hands Midwives is looking to diversify our revenue by creating our own line of Afrocentric merchandise. We believe this project will require: Develop merchandise designs (Ex. t-shirt designs, African prints) Create digital mock-ups Create electronic marketing designs and templates Assist with research and initial steps of setting up an e-commerce site The final deliverables include: File of finalized designs and merchandise mock-ups 1 Marketing campaign including post and reel templates We are excited to work with students who support our mission and want to have fun creating unique merchandise. Blogging for a Career Accelerator
Students at Accelerate Her Future will be provided with an opportunity to develop interview guides for individuals who we wish to profile on our blog. They will also have an opportunity to write highlighting recent research focused on gender and racial equity as well as state of women in the workplace. This engagement will give interns an opportunity to work with a dynamic team within a collaborative environment. The student will be exposed to a variety of skills and experiences to enhance their knowledge of digital marketing, communication, and content creation. We are a young startup and as a career accelerator for Indigenous, Black and racialized women and we care deeply about mentorship. We will help our students succeed as much as we want them to help us enhance our digital footprint. We are looking for students who have creative vision, tenacity, drive, and see possibilities in all things and who thrive at working independently and in a team setting. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: Familiarizing themselves with our mission, goals, target market, programs and services. Recommending topics for our blog posts. Set up interview guides for member profiles. Drafting blog posts relevant to our organization Revising blog posts based on feedback. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Recommending ways to market our blogs. Who are we looking for? Ideally you have lived experience and ‘insider knowledge’ of the communities we serve at the core of our mission. You are inspired by our mission and like working within a collaborative environment. You value patience, respect, generosity, and good humour in your working relationships. Having an emerging understanding of intersectionality and gender and racial equity principles will be an asset.
Real Adulting 101 Content Generation Project
The goal of this project is to create user generated content (videos + posts) around Real Adulting 101 products to build brand and product awareness. Students will pick programs and products that they’re passionate about and will go through the entire process: idea generation, filming, editing, posting.
Digital Content Creation
We would like students to help us create content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with our company’s products, marketing goals and target market. Researching factors affecting the quality of digital content. Recommending changes to existing digital content and designing new social media posts and emails. Recommending and designing new digital content not already used by our company. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Testing and improving designs based on feedback.
