Peqish Culinary Medicine Social Media Strategy and Campaign

According to the Lancet, one of the most respected medical journals in the world, poor quality diets are deemed to be a greater risk to human welfare than unsafe sex, drugs, alcohol and tobacco use combined ( Willett et al (2019) Lancet 393:447-492 ). That means that what we eat causes more issues than what we have grown up fearing. There’s so much awareness about tobacco and drug use, but where is the awareness about what we put in our mouths? And what is being done to change it? Social media has the potential to educate however there are so many non-qualified health advocates and influencers misinforming the public on what’s healthier for them. At Peqish, it’s our mission to lead a transformative movement that inspires people to get back to eating truly healthy foods. We know that nutritious food is medicine, it is restorative and contributes to your well-being. To support our mission, we've brought together a Health and Wellness Advisory Board with 200+ years of clinical and scientific experience in the understanding of food sensitivities and its impact on health to bring the knowledge together to promote this necessary change. We need your help to develop a social media strategy that we can leverage as an organization to educate the consumer on what is being put into their foods, how misinformation influences poor food choices, and what it means to deliver culinary medicine inspired foods to consumer . The anticipated outcomes are: Develop social media strategy for a full calendar year. Please note that campaigns should focus on post-secondary students. Deploy, test, refine/optimize messaging to achieve the goals listed above in bold. Resources. Upon selection, all existing marketing resources will be made available.
