Details

The main goal for the project is to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study for the establishment of a Canola Oil Plant with a daily production capacity of 20-25 tons per day. The study should include projections for 3-5 years to present to finance institutions. This will involve several different steps for the learners, including:

- Researching the Canola Oil industry in Canada and understanding the market demand and supply dynamics.

- Analyzing the existing ecosystem to support the establishment of the plant, including availability of raw materials, infrastructure, and government regulations.

- Developing financial projections for the plant's operations, including sales forecasts, income projections, and expense budgets.

- Conducting a break-even analysis and assessing the potential assets and liabilities of the plant.

- Creating visual representations such as graphs and charts to illustrate the financial projections and comparisons.

Deliverables

By the end of the project, learners should complete the following tasks:

- A comprehensive feasibility study report including market analysis, financial projections, break-even analysis, and visual representations.

- A 60-minute presentation explaining the research findings and outcomes of the feasibility study.

- Company valuation based on financial projections and potential return on investment for finance institutions.

Final deliverables:

- All source materials used for the feasibility study.

- A written report explaining the research process, financial projections, and outcomes.
