business consulting communication researchThis course provides an introduction into a variety of human resource management (HRM) topics, including strategic human resource planning, work design, recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, health and safety, equity and diversity, and labor relations. A partnering company will be able to select five topics for students to focus on. Each topic will be assigned to two teams. Teams will do research on the topic to address an issue, answer questions, and/or provide recommendations for improvement.
Students
Students will deliver a written report with the issue/topic analysis tailored to an organization and/or a presentation. Deliverables can be negotiated before the start of the course.
