Email Marketing Coordinator
The main goal of the Email Marketing Coordinator intern's project, within the first 80 hours, is to establish the foundational elements for email marketing at Sports After 6. This includes: Email Marketing Strategy Development: Develop a basic understanding of email marketing best practices and create a preliminary email marketing strategy that aligns with the company's mission and goals. The goal is to have a clear plan for how email marketing will support the company's objectives. Initial Campaign Setup: Set up the selected email marketing platform, design a sample email template, and create content for an introductory email campaign. The goal is to have a functioning email marketing system ready for use. List Building and Segmentation: Begin building an email subscriber list by collecting contacts and develop a basic system for segmenting the list. The goal is to have an initial set of subscribers and a plan for organizing them. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the performance of the sample email campaign, tracking key metrics like open rates and click-through rates. The goal is to gain insights into the effectiveness of the initial campaign and identify areas for improvement. Compliance Check: Ensure that email marketing practices are compliant with relevant regulations, such as the CAN-SPAM Act. The goal is to operate within legal boundaries. Knowledge Transfer: Transfer knowledge and skills to other team members to ensure they can continue email marketing efforts after the intern's role concludes. The goal is to build internal capacity for ongoing email marketing activities. Content Creator/Writer
The main goal of the Content Creation/Writer intern's project is to establish a strong content foundation that aligns with Sports After 6's mission and engages the target audience effectively. This involves: Content Quality: Creating high-quality and engaging content, including blog posts, articles, athlete profiles, and social media updates, that resonates with the audience. Content Strategy: Contributing to the development of a content strategy that aligns with the company's mission and goals, reflecting the importance of sports stories and athlete achievements. Content Promotion: Sharing content on various platforms, including social media, to promote it and engage the audience. Content Editing and Review: Ensuring content accuracy, clarity, and consistency through editing and proofreading. Analytics and Reporting: Monitoring content performance and providing insights to enhance future content efforts. The overarching goal is to build a robust content foundation that showcases the company's dedication to celebrating local athletes and their stories while also attracting and retaining an engaged audience. The final presentation serves as an opportunity for the intern to demonstrate their thorough understanding of the role's requirements and their contributions to achieving this goal.
Business Administration
The primary focus for the student will be: (Remove any that don't apply) Strategy - Develop an implementation plan for entering a new market; develop a go-to-market strategy; identify new funding and grant opportunities, write proposals. Operations - Recommend process improvements or redesign processes; develop improvements to supply chain processes; introduce quality assurance into our internal processes. Marketing - Complete a full customer, competitor, market, and environmental analysis; complete a marketing strategy review; design a new marketing strategy (product, place, price, and promotion); Sales - Design a new/improved prospecting process for our sales team; design a new/improved pricing or service structure. Talent - Design a new/improved recruitment process; develop a diversity and inclusion strategy; design a new/improved employee engagement program.
Brand Identity and Graphic Design
Our company is looking to solidify our identity and revamp the logo that we currently have. We are looking to better connect with our audience by standing out and being memorable while also being able to use the designs the students offer in a corporate setting. We are looking for real designs that we could use in our branding as well as general branding knowledge. The right candidate would work to create consistent promotional branding and come up with possible new names for the company. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Researching the brand identity. Logo and name proposals that reflect who we are Work to create a branding guide for us to reference Help create prototypes using software tools that can be implemented in our marketing Research into the competitors to see what they are doing. Creating custom branding sheets with colours and logos.
