Virtual Internship Opportunity: HR Intern

Positions available: 2 teams of 3 students per team. The primary focus for the student will be: WAG Healing Sanctuary's overall mission is to promote mutual healing through the human-animal bond. Each project site will accomplish that mission in different ways and in response to commmunity needs: Animal companion-friendly Transitional living center for single moms with children, Foster kids program, human-animal bond retreat. We are looking for a HR intern who can help us develop a robust approach to recruitment sources, identifying candidates and establishing an employee development program that offers mutual benefit toward both retention and transition. Our goal at the end of this experience is: Identify hiring criteria for overall mission and tailored for 1-2 of the prospective project sites. Identify staffing duties and responsibilities and prospective positions for start-up and projected in relation to increased funding and demand. Identify ideal resources for recruitment. Identify HR practices that would best support and develop employees. Position: 4 people We are looking for students who will support our HR team and help us build our volunteer program. Deliverables Help us define our volunteer program impact areas and create a system/mechanism to track them. Refine our volunteer program needs' assessment . Review and amend our volunteer program policy .
