PROJECT DESCRIPTION/DESCRIPTION DU PROJET: In Canada there are approximately 170,000 registered non-profits, of which 85,000 are registered charities. These organizations face tremendous challenges in the pursuit of their objectives. Raising awareness of the non-profit and its objectives within the communities they serve is a key challenge shared by all of these organizations. Equally as important are the operational challenges of running a non-profit organization, which are often specific to a location and/or type of non-profit. This internship is part of a broader project that is designed to address these critical challenges by demonstrating a social media-based framework that A) raises awareness for non-profits in the City they operate, B) provides a platform for best practices knowledge sharing within a local area and across non-profit types, and C) facilitates stakeholder bridging across non-profit communities. The framework consists of three core components: 1. On-Camera Non-Profit Engagement Sessions 2. Social Media Content Creation and Distribution 3. Knowledge Sharing and Best Practices The focus of this Intrapreneurship will be in supporting component number 1: On-Camera Non-Profit Engagement Sessions KEY PROJECT ACTIVITIES/TÂCHES ASSOCIÉES AU PROJET: Identify a short-list of candidate non-profit organizations in Canada Reach out to each of the short-listed organizations to obtain a minimum of 10 to participate in on-camera virtual interviews Work with us to schedule interview sessions with each of the non-profit organizations (via Zoom/Teams) Support us during the virtual interviews while we talk with each organization Time permitting, help us post produce the video into multiple pieces of social media content IDEAL ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES/RÔLES/RESPONSABILITÉS:* Ideal candidates should have the following attributes: An interest in communications and social media A positive attitude Kindness above all else! The main goal of this project is to increase referrals for Lotus Addiction Therapy Inc.'s addiction and mental health treatment services. This will involve several different steps for the learners, including: - Researching and identifying potential referral sources such as doctors, lawyers, hospitals, businesses, detoxes, and rehabs. - Contacting potential referral sources using our company number barn app, emailing them, and following up with them. - Developing an incentive program to encourage referrals, such as offering a referral commission of $500-$1000 per referral. - Tracking and monitoring the effectiveness of the referral program.
