literature reviews data storage progress reporting data retrieval research surveying psychology big data data collectionThe research assistants will support the research initiatives under the guidance of research faculty. Areas of inquiry include psychology, atypical development, neurodevelopment.
Students will work closely with the primary investigator and the project lead. Students will provide written progress reports and receive feedback from the primary investigator. Students will be asked to attend team meetings to provide verbal reports, receive project updates.
The project may include, but is not limited to:
- Responsible for complex data collection, manipulation, and data storage. The primary focus will be data extraction
- Planning and performing the outlines and looking after data retrieval (eg, data scraping) and analysis (e.g., big data analysis) using existing tools and methods.
- Supports the project/study by surveying literature and using existing tools to generate data.
- Conducting literature reviews and contributing to the development of research projects.
- Maintaining records and progress reports
Students will be trained to use study software, how to export and enter data. Students will meet with project team during team meetings and have individual check-ins - all meetings are virtual, but several virtual meetings will occur throughout.
