No skills listedAs the leading job board in Atlantic Canada, CareerBeacon has built an internal tool to automatically classify the jobs that appear on our job board using the National Occupational Classification (NOC) system developed by the Government of Canada. Linking CareerBeacon jobs to a NOC code, ensures that the jobs are then distributed to the Job Bank of Canada, expanding the reach and impact of the job opportunities.
Not all of the jobs are correctly classified via the internal tool and need human verification/re-mapping of incorrectly associated NOC codes.
As a result, we are seeking students to help us verify the accuracy of the data and re-map incorrect data using the internal tool we have created for this purpose.
- Students will use our internal tool to review the NOC associations made for jobs
- Students will use the NOC system to verify the accuracy of the NOC code associated with each job
- Students will approve correctly mapped codes or edit inaccurate codes and save them to our system
- Training on our internal tool
- Training on the Canadian Government's NOC code lookup
- 1 on 1 check-ins to ensure questions are answered and students have the guidance required
