We are a new startup, and would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization.

Ultimately, you will be working on content creation for our organization, including video, social media, and other collateral that we can use as go-to marketing tools.

If you like the sound of our culture, and are ready to tackle this challenge with us, then we'd love to hear from you.

Deliverables

To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will:

  • Write blog articles, email newsletters/sequences and other content pieces on assigned topics related to youth with invisible and non-visible disabilities.
  • Assist with a social media video launch to promote our organization
  • Evaluate recent successful user-generated campaigns, preferably in our sector
  • Identify media outlets that are most beneficial to share our story
Mentorship

Students will work closely with the primary project manager who is supervising and available for questions. This will also include occasional progress meetings where adjustments to the students' tasks and duties can be made if necessary. We welcome all students regardless of abilities, sex, gender, race, socio-economic status! Please let us know how we can best accomdate you.

The Coalition of Neurodivergent Youth (CNY) is a dedicated, youth-led organization situated in the Greater Toronto Area with a profound commitment to elevating awareness and fostering acceptance of invisible disabilities. Our central mission revolves around the cultivation of leadership skills within a diverse youth demographic, irrespective of their individual backgrounds. Our overarching goal is to facilitate the development of tomorrow's leaders, regardless of their ancestry, gender, abilities, or socioeconomic status.

We proudly align ourselves with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3, which seeks to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being across all age groups. Our advocacy initiatives are geared towards fostering respect, recognition, and inclusivity for neurodiverse youth in every facet of society. We diligently address the obstacles hindering their access to essential services, such as employment, healthcare, and community support.

At CNY, we are dedicated to shedding light on the unique challenges faced by neurodiverse youth, particularly in the realms of education, employment, and daily life. Our distinctive approach is founded on empowering these young individuals through a strengths-based methodology. Furthermore, we actively engage in an array of research projects, craft informative awareness campaigns, and disseminate valuable resources designed to benefit both youth and their families.
