RDP is in the process of preparing a large institutional applied research funding proposal.

We require a student to help us gather data on various aspects of applied research, one of which is what pathways do student involved in applied research follow. This will involve looking at LindedIn accounts, interviews etc to gather the information.

Connecting with RDP researchers who have employed students

Researching students via LinkedIn and scheduling and performing interviews

Creating charts/trends based on the data

Anonymizing the information gathered

The mentor will meet with the student regularly (minimum 1x per week). The mentor will also provide feedback on the progress of projects and do informal check-ins. Depending on the experience of the student, the mentor can assist with a project plan.

There will also be a kick off meeting and a chance for the student to present their work to the team at the end.
