Details

Our business publishes dozens of courses every year to promote learning and research in Early Childhood Education. All of these projects require background research to support the validity of our findings.

We would like to collaborate with students to support our research process by collecting and summarizing research for an upcoming project. This provides us with useful information regarding the latest findings and current gaps in research.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

  • Familiarizing themselves with our research projects and the types of background information we are interested in.
  • Researching and reading papers and summarizing their findings.
  • Identifying gaps for future research.

Bonus steps in the process would also include:

  • Comparing papers to identify similarities / differences in research perspectives and results.
  • Working with educators to put a workshop together.
Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • Understanding of our area of research and the purpose of our project
  • Summarization of relevant studies and their research results
  • Identification of future areas of research

Bonus steps would include:

  • Comparing papers for areas of discrepancy or agreement
  • Assisting in the writing of a workshop

Final deliverables should include

  • A final report.
Mentorship

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • Our research projects
  • Current understanding of our field of research
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
