We are Dough Dough Digital Inc., the parent company of Billy's Cookies, a Toronto-based game studio. Billy's Cookies is gearing up to release the pre-alpha of "Make a Hit!", a music puzzle game, for a closed playtest where players can sign up and experience the game firsthand. We’re seeking a passionate Community Engagement and Marketing Specialist to join us for this exciting one-month project. Your mission? Help us attract as many people as possible to try "Make a Hit!", evaluate critical feedback, and build a thriving community of music and puzzle game enthusiasts.
Responsibilities
- Content Ideation: Develop creative ideas for social media posts, videos, and other content to promote "Make a Hit!" and spark excitement.
- Community Engagement on Discord: Manage and grow our Discord community by fostering discussions, organizing events, and creating a welcoming environment.
- Monitoring Feedback: Collect and analyze feedback from the community and playtesters to provide actionable insights to the development team.
- Content Calendar Management: Create and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and strategic posting across platforms.
- Influencer and Creator Outreach: Identify and reach out to potential influencers and creators who align with our game’s target audience (noting this may be an early-stage effort).
- Customer Support and Inquiry Management: Provide timely and helpful responses to community inquiries and support requests.
Deliverables
- A detailed content calendar outlining planned activities for the project duration.
- Engaging social media posts and multimedia content designed to generate buzz for the game.
- A comprehensive feedback report summarizing key insights gathered from playtesters and community members.
- Documentation of influencer outreach efforts, including any partnerships or responses secured.
- A log of community inquiries and support interactions, showcasing timely and effective resolutions.
- Weekly progress reports tracking community growth, engagement metrics, and playtest sign-up rates.
Final Project Outcomes
- Maximize sign-ups for the closed playtest, ensuring a successful and well-attended testing phase.
- Deliver valuable feedback to the development team that drives meaningful improvements to "Make a Hit!".
- Establish a vibrant, engaged Discord community that lays the foundation for ongoing growth beyond the playtest period.
