Deliverables

Learners will have to dig into the venture capital ecosystem to understand its history and its achievements to date.

Learners can also attend virtual classes offered by an investor relations company with whom the CSG Group collaborates to improve the outcomes of the venture capital asset class.

Context for the project:

Venture Capital is evolving and attempting to re-invent itself as a viable asset class.

To date it has functioned without regulation or structure. Funders and founders have behaved as if in the wild west, setting their own criteria and standards. The communication between them has been inconsistent nor necessarily relevant to analyze the viability of the business. According to studies, it has not to date been a successful vehicle to advance innovation or entrepreneurship.

To improve the narrative and outcomes, better data and processes need to be implemented.

Sustainability is not just a trendy word but a value that all companies should include in their ethos, operations and design if they believe in building businesses that will last through many generations. Enterprises that adapt and implement policies that positively impacts the environment, their customers, employees and their communities see increases in their profits and reductions in their costs. The best approach to achieve positive results is to include environmental, socially sustainable initiatives.

The CSG Group team of experts offers services to assist startup founders in their fundraising efforts by analyzing the different aspects of their business operations that may need improvement while identifying investors that may be interested in their project.

Similarly, for companies interested in adopting a sustainable mind-set, the CSG Group's other team provides expert advice and guidance based on their vast experience in the different components of sustainability to assist enterprises in understanding how to create a company wide plan and how to implement it across the different divisions.

The CSG-Group is a consulting collaborative whose mission is to promote responsible and conscious capitalism Our focus is on social entrepreneurship as we believe that founders of companies who have ambitions to solve societal and environmental inequities and crises have the best chances to make a difference in their respective communities. They incorporate and balance 3 important aspects of business to create sustainable enterprises: people, planet and profits. While they have honorable goals, they often lack access the capital as they fall into a grey area for traditional funders. That's where consultants like ourselves and our collaborators who have connections and contacts in different business sectors can be of service and assistance, In this regard, our missions are aligned as we believe that supporting and empowering these companies will help them achieve their goals to be successful.
