Our team is looking to take our social media presence to the next level in order to drive traffic to our pages. To do this, we hope to improve our search engine optimization, and create an optimal schedule for our social media posts to be uploaded.

This will involve several different steps for students, including:

  • Researching keywords to determine the most relevant terms that our customers search for.
  • Researching Search Engine Optimization requirements for us to rank on the first page of Google.
  • Constructing a content calendar to upload social media content for the maximum possible traffic .
  • Creating social media content using the most efficient keywords for our target audience while following the content calendar.
  • Working with our programs team to curate relevant content and highlights from our programs and activities.
  • Creating appropriate content tailored for multiple SM platforms, while ensuring synergy across platforms.
  • Organize social media live events that foster community engagement.


Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities (this is basically a retelling of the steps above):

  • Compiled a list of the most relevant SEO keywords for us.
  • Created a content calendar to drive traffic to our social media pages.
  • Prepared a report outlining the SEO keywords and the social media calendar to be reviewed by the project manager.
  • Created engaging social media posts using the most efficient SEO keywords and ensured that content and designs are consistent with our branding of professional standard.

Bonus steps would include:

  • Tailor content based on our target groups' activity levels on different times and days.

Final deliverables should include

  • A report containing the most relevant SEO keywords for our company and a content calendar.
  • Designs, templates, and writing for several social media posts to be uploaded as per the content calendar.


Mentorship

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • What SEO keywords are being used by our company now, and which keywords have been used in the past?
  • How do we rank on Google based on different search terms?
  • When and how much do we typically post on social media?
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
  • How and where to draw relevant information for Skillcity tailored content creation.
