Skillcity Institute is on a mission to elevate its brand equity, boost social capital, and secure new funding sources to advance its mission. We invite student groups to collaborate on various activities grouped into distinct categories for streamlined coordination. We have organized these activities into categories to provide a clear framework for students to choose and coordinate their projects effectively.

Deliverables

Each category contributes to our overarching goal of advancing Skillcity Institute's mission.


Brand Development and Visibility:

  • Create brand identity assets, including a brand key messages framework.
  • Design promotional materials (brochures, banners, promotional videos, service field images, animation, etc.) to enhance brand visibility.
  • Develop and implement strategies for improved overall brand equity.


Impact Storytelling and Reporting:


  • Curate compelling impact stories, testimonials, and impact statements.
  • Create an annual impact report, utilizing data compilation, visualization, infographics, and animation.


Fundraising Communication and Grant Writing:


  • Design fundraising communication assets, including copies for fundraising campaigns, sponsorship letters, pitch decks, 
  • Curate compelling narratives that connect Skillcity’s mission and social causes to the corporate social responsibility goals of target companies
  • Conduct prospect research and prepare grant proposals and funding applications.


Donor Cultivation:


  • Create donor profiles and build donor prospect databases using CRM tools.
  • Develop and execute email newsletter campaigns, managing contact lists with CRM tools.


Web Presence Enhancement and Social Media Engagement:


  • Generate cause-based digital marketing content collateral with compelling key messages and appeals.
  • Curate social media content and implement strategies to strengthen our social media presence across key SM platforms.
  • Conduct a website and web presence audit, making recommendations for improvement in user experience, language accessibility, key messaging, and SEO.


Volunteer Recruitment and Engagement:


  • Develop and execute volunteer recruitment strategies, including online targeted campaigns and partnership cultivation.
  • Promote corporate volunteerism and attract diverse industry professionals to our STEM Heroes+ mentoring program.


Event Planning and Calendar Management:


  • Create an events calendar to increase engagement and enhance brand awareness.




Final deliverables may include but are not limited to:


- Completed digital sponsorship packages and nonprofit marketing appeals

- Developed fundraising proposals and sponsorship appeals

- Designed communication media assets and brand key messages

- Developed social media content and nonprofit promotion and partnerships cultivation packets

- Designed virtual events and promotional materials

- Created volunteer engagement strategies and corporate social responsibility campaign packages

- Conducted prospect research and analyses

- Prepared email newsletters, outreach campaigns, and grant applications

- Managed contacts database, mailing lists, and profile segmentation.


Mentorship

Skillcity Institute is excited to welcome Work Integrated Learning (WIL) students to collaborate on our project to Enhance Brand Equity, Social Capital, and Funding Streams. Committed to ensuring the students' success, Skillcity will provide dedicated staff time for supervision, fostering regular communication and collaboration. Supervision includes check-ins and feedback to guide project progress and maintain alignment with Skillcity's goals. Students will have access to organizational data, including our current brand assets and tools.


Moreover, we offer access to relevant software and tools, as well as orientation on relevant sectoral information, which will enhance the student's research and skill development. We hope that this support will enrich the student's learning experience and contribute to the creation of a high-quality final project. Skillcity is confident in the success of this collaboration and looks forward to achieving impactful results together with the WIL students.
