About the company
Pet with Paws was created by Douglas, a graduate of Camrose Composite High School. He loves swimming and won 2 silver medals for Team Alberta at the 2018 Special Olympics National Games for swimming in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.
Douglas started out by making bracelets with paracord. He realized that when woven, paracord was a sturdy product that would provide strength to a dog leash while also being light and giving the handle grip so that it won’t slip out of your hand. So, he made his first dog leash. Then it just made sense to move on to weaving a collar to match!
So began the start of a new business plan. Douglas then began baking homemade treats and pet care products for his two dogs, Molly and Sage (now Quality Control Inspectors for his company) and his friends’ pups.
Douglas is consistently looking for new ideas for the business and is very excited about em-bark-ing on this new challenge with Pets with Paws which he hopes will continue to grow.
