The main objective of the described project is to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to develop, analyze, and track images for mental health research.The project aims to address various aspects related to mental health, including accuracy in image generation, linguistic analysis of wording and sentences used in AI image development, and the synthesis of mental health AI images based on qualitative research findings.

Deliverables
  • Students will be responsible for training AI models to generate images related to mental health and health research, ensuring the models are optimized for accuracy and relevance.
  • Analyze the wording and sentences used in the AI image development process to identify patterns and improve the linguistic accuracy of the generated content.
  • Actively participate in sub-team meetings, providing updates on individual progress, sharing challenges, and collaborating with team members to address project goals collectively
  • Identify and address challenges that may arise during the project, such as technical issues in AI model training or difficulties in aligning AI-generated images with qualitative research insights
  • Consider and address ethical considerations related to mental health research, ensuring that the project adheres to ethical guidelines and standards.

Final deliverables should include

  • Present and share finding with team

We were founded to be a resource for Black and racialized students to partake in meaningful research training and networking opportunities that help them advance throughout their academic journey and career journey.

We achieve this through the provision of mentorship, research, and employment training opportunities.

Our mission is to increase the representation of Black people across interdisciplinary Health sectors and increase the rate of employment among Black youth through career advancement training.

We envision a safer and inclusive Toronto where all Torontonians particularly Black and racialized communities can access services and employment free from racism and discrimination.
