Bring on learners from Elms College to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners will work on one main project, covering four key areas of current events and their impact on the economy that may affect your business, over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools.
Students
Deliverables are negotiable, and will seek to align the needs of the learners and the organization.
Some final project deliverables might include:
- A 10-15 minute presentation on key findings and recommendations
- A detailed report including their research, analysis, insights and recommendations

Requirements
Learners in groups of 3-5 will work with your business to identify your needs and provide actionable recommendations, based on their in-depth research and analysis.
Project activities that learners can complete may include, but are not limited to:
Sustainability and Economic Impact
A team of Masters students will focus on the intersection of sustainability practices and economic outcomes. If you are a business committed to sustainability initiatives, this team will analyze how your environmental efforts affect your bottom line and market positioning. It will also investigate how sustainability practices can drive innovation and competitive advantage in the market.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Economic Impact
This team of Masters students will examine the economic implications of CSR initiatives on your company's performance and the broader economy. It will assess your CSR efforts as to the impact on the bottom line and societal welfare.
Global Events and Supply Chain Dynamics
This team of Masters students will study the impact of global events (natural disasters, pandemics, political upheavals) on supply chains and the global economy. It will work with you to analyze your supply chain resilience strategies.
Technology and Economic Transformation
This team of Masters students will explore how recent technological advancements (AI, blockchain, renewable energy) influence various sectors of the economy pertaining to your business. By partnering with your business it will investigate these technologies to gain an understanding of their economic ramifications.
Additional company criteria
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:
Be available for a quick phone/virtual call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the experience.
Provide a dedicated contact person who is available for weekly/bi-weekly drop-ins to address learners’ questions as well as periodic messages over the duration of the project.
Provide an opportunity for learners to present their work and receive feedback.
Provide relevant information and/or data as needed for the project.
