We’d like students to help analyze our datasets to draw helpful insights. From this analysis, we hope to not only improve our processes and understanding but also gain insights that will enhance our strategy. These insights will be directly related to business outcomes.
Data Analysis Research
Our research lab publishes dozens of papers every year to promote projects in our field of research. Among these papers are studies detailing our lab’s findings from data analysis. We would like to collaborate with students to analyze our raw datasets. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with our project’s objectives and analysis procedures. Checking for and correcting inconsistencies in the dataset. Calculating important results and plotting data in graphs and charts. Performing relevant statistical tests to determine the significance of results. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Recommending future areas of study.
Sales Forecasting Analysis
Our company wishes to have a current and accurate sales forecast so that we are able to allocate resources appropriately in the coming months and years. In this project, students will analyze organizational assets including personnel, strategic records, pricing, and promotion. Using these resources, we would like you to construct a sales forecast with a predictive model for the next two years of operations, including monthly projections. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Analyzing our current organizational assets for metrics that will affect our sales. Analyzing historical sales trends and comparing our previous forecasts to actual results. Constructing a model to predict sales including projectable market shifting events. Creating a report including research, analysis and the sales forecast. Developing multiple predictions using conservative and aggressive approaches.
Pricing Model Development
We would like you to develop and test a series of pricing model options and present an effective data-based pricing model recommendation for our organization. You should conduct primary and secondary research to confirm your recommendation is validated by our target customer in this market. To accomplish this, we believe you will need to conduct the following research: Our organization’s costs, target customer, revenue targets, and business goals. The competitive landscape of this new market. Organizing focus groups, surveys, and/or customer discovery interviews to get input and feedback on potential pricing models. Using targeted online ads to A/B test landing pages with different price models. We want to enter this new market with a proven pricing model so that we can have a successful launch.
Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Application
Our company advertises thousands of products, and we want to leverage the latest technology to gain market advantage. Applications of this technology include recommendation algorithms, predictive analytics like lifetime values, fraud detections, and classifications. We would like to collaborate with students to apply the latest artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) techniques to our existing dataset. Students will develop an AI / ML model related to any of the aforementioned applications. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Conducting background research on our existing products and the dataset. Analyzing our current dataset. Researching the latest AI / ML techniques and how they could be applied to our data. Developing an AI / ML model that provides unique outcomes or insights into our data. Providing multiple solutions that can be applied to solve the same problem.
