Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on learners from Sheridan College to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools.


Learners in this program/experience can analyze micro/macroeconomic trends and data to provide actionable insights. They can conduct quantitative cost-benefit analyses and effectively communicate their findings to stakeholders. Their understanding of economic principles helps identify opportunities for efficiency and growth, making them valuable assets to any organization.

Deliverables are negotiable, and will seek to align the needs of the learners and the organization. 


Some final project deliverables might include: 

  1. A 10-15 minute presentation on key findings and recommendations
  2. A detailed report including their research, analysis, insights and recommendations

Requirements

Learners in groups of 3-5 will work with your company to identify your needs and provide actionable recommendations, based on their in-depth research and analysis.


Project activities that learners can complete may include, but are not limited to: 


Company Performance Analysis

Company Performance Overview

  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales growth, customer satisfaction ratings, and market share against major competitors.
  • Identify areas where the company excels or lags behind, focusing on metrics like customer retention and service efficiency.


Outperformance or Underperformance Assessment

  1. Identifying Strengths and Weaknesses:
  • Highlight specific areas where the company has outperformed others (e.g., innovative customer service practices) and areas of underperformance (e.g., slower response times).
  • Provide examples from the report to illustrate these points.


Customer Service Relations

Research Focus: Customer service relations with customers and suppliers

  1. Assessment of Current Practices:
  • Review feedback from customers and suppliers to identify pain points and successes in service interactions.
  • Explore case studies of successful service initiatives within the industry.


Research Focus: Strategies to enhance brand perception

  • Analyze customer feedback and industry perception data to understand current brand standing.
  • Identify key areas for improvement, such as social media engagement or community involvement.


Competition analysis

  1. Understanding Competitive Landscape:
  • Analyze the implications of increased competition on market dynamics, customer expectations, and pricing strategies.
  • Discuss the potential benefits of competition, such as innovation and improved service quality.




Additional company criteria

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Be available for a quick phone/virtual call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the experience.

Provide a dedicated contact person who is available for weekly/bi-weekly drop-ins to address learners’ questions as well as periodic messages over the duration of the project.
